CONTROL CENTER

Endurance II lies at an odd angle on the seabed.

Bubbles rise from its base. Toby takes a deep breath as he

watches the bubbles.

now lined up in a neat row, wrapped in silver body bags.

Toby COUGHS as he expels the stagnant air.

TOBY

(quietly estimating)

Thirty minutes – maximum.

Water trickles.

He turns in his seat, looks at Schuster's pale, sweat-

glistened face.

TOBY (V.O.)

Not long for him. Better he's

asleep.

Then, barely perceptible movement, like the earth shaking.

His eyes snap open.

TOBY (V.O.) (CONT'D)

Could I be imagining it? Yes –

beginning of the end.

Then a slow RUMBLE.

93.

He forces his body to the window.

Directly adjacent to the broken wing, there is a glow.

He looks to the control center, staggers across to get the

binoculars.

He uses his last remaining energy to ease them over his eyes.

He focuses on a string bag wrapped around a jutting piece of

wood.

The glow increases in strength.

The bag is moving as though caught in a current – but

everything else is still.

Toby slips onto the floor just as the emergency power fails.

Darkness.

MAD WATER DELTA AREA – EVENING

FEELGOOD beckons for BUDYA to follow.

With renewed energy, he strides like an athlete towards Mad

Water Delta.

The moon is large, casting silver light.

Mad Water Delta sparkles into sight.

The ocean is flat, yet the delta seems disturbed – ruffled

like the feathers of an angry bird.

He reaches the banks, casts his eyes to the right: The land

falls gently away to form a sand spit dividing the mainland

from Stinkwood Island, protecting the delta from the open

sea.

The lighthouse is silhouetted against the sky.

He follows the bank until his feet touch the sand.

Budya stays close behind.

Another sound, above. A helicopter, moving fast, heading for

the lighthouse.

FEELGOOD

(sighing with relief)

Only a bloody helicopter this time.

94.

FEELGOOD (CONT'D)

Any other time, I would have sworn

the spirits had come to get me.

He hesitates.

Dread.

He looks back.

BUDYA

(urging)

For Juba.

The helicopter has settled.

Feelgood skirts the lighthouse and almost bumps into Blake as

he rushes from the entrance.

CHAPTER 26 - CRUNCH TIME - IMAGE - HELICOPTER.

EXT - STINKWOOD ISLAND - EVENING

Carrying a small metal case, Matt, in full uniform, jumps

from the helicopter.

Amy follows.

They duck clear.

Matt signals the pilot to leave.

At speed, and low, the craft heads off.

It hovers nearby.

Navy SEALS emerge, slide down.

They vanish beneath the waves.

The pilot steer the craft back and lands.

Matt looks up at the lighthouse, then towards Blake and

Feelgood.

MATT

I'm Matt Walters. NASA. This is Amy

Wylks from SETI. Is there somewhere

we can talk?

BLAKE

(indicates the lighthouse

dome)

I'm Blake, ex Captain.

95.

BLAKE (CONT'D)

This is Feelgood, tribal elder. Up

there. Follow me.

LIGHTHOUSE DOME
EVENING

Matt and Amy follow Blake and Feelgood up the stairs to the

dome, where Danny waits with Sarah.

They both turn as the others enter.

BLAKE

(awkward beat)

Okay. You first.

MATT

As I said, I'm from NASA. On a

previous mission, we had an

encounter with these aliens. They

somehow passed a device to me. Amy

is the one who decoded their

intentions. Fossils, something

named Kutji. There was a capsule.

It fell from orbit.

FEELGOOD

The Kutji spirit. Capsule carried

Marwen and the Moon Creature

fossils. Taken way back. Same

aliens, Vash.

MATT

Vash? You call them that?

FEELGOOD

That's what they're called in our

history.

A beat.

MATT

We launched a new mission to see

what might happen. The mission

failed. We tracked our shuttle -

Endurance II. Came down in your

delta out there. If we're going to

communicate with them directly, we

need Amy.

Danny's eyes widen.

96.

MATT (CONT'D)

I guess something brought you all

here too? And if I had to guess...

you've seen unexplainable things.

FEELGOOD

Son, this story's been waiting ten

thousand years. The Vash took

Marwen and the fossils.

MATT

Look, I haven't got a handbook for

this. And right now, I've got a

crew trapped in that delta with

maybe hours of air left.

DANNY

(suddenly pointing)

There's Fleabag!

Everyone turns to see the rangy figure approaching the

lighthouse.

BLAKE

I'll handle this.

SARAH

Should you? Given your history with

him?

Blake is already moving. He intercepts Fleabag at the

entrance.

LIGHTHOUSE ENTRANCE
EVENING

FLEABAG

(exhausted, defeated)

Mate. Been through hell. Need to

speak to the elder. Got something

he needs to hear.

BLAKE

(studying him)

Can I trust you not to head-butt or

shoot anyone?

FLEABAG

Things have... changed for me.

LIGHTHOUSE DOME
EVENING

When Fleabag enters, Feelgood's expression hardens.

97.

FEELGOOD

Frederick Bagley. What're you doing

here?

FLEABAG

(quietly)

I fucked up, Uncle. Bad. Knocked

off the investigator, finished off

the old artist, took the fossils.

And now... things are happening.

Shit I don't understand.

MATT

(to group)

I'm sorry, who is this exactly?

FEELGOOD

(bitter)

This is my nephew. The one who

chose the wrong path. Killed the

old artist.

FLEABAG

I'll turn myself in. To whoever.

Just... first I need to make

something right.

SARAH

(skeptical)

Make what right? You could have

killed my son.

FLEABAG

(genuine regret)

I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry about

all of it.

MATT

(frustrated)

Look, this is all very...

therapeutic, but I have people

dying out there.

FEELGOOD

(to Matt)

Listen to me. Right now, the Vash

have taken my nephew, Juba. All

they need now is the Moon Creatures

- the fossils. It's Kutji. The

spirit. That's what has the power.

It's out there somewhere. Until we

find them, the Vash will...

98.

FLEABAG

Hang on. I got to tell you, when I

was struggling in the delta, I had

to let go of the fossils. They're

in there somewhere.

Without warning, the sky lights up, like an invitation to

head down for a rock concert.

Everyone heads outside.

CHAPTER 27 - THE TRADE - IMAGE - VASH.

MAD WATER DELTA
NIGHT

The group stands at the water's edge.

Above them, the mirage materializes, hovering directly over

the sunken shuttle.

DANNY

(pointing)

There! It's back!

The craft begins to emit a low, harmonic HISS. The delta

waters start to swirl, forming a massive whirlpool.

The water doesn't spiral - it flows in geometric patterns.

Hexagonal currents form and collapse, creating fractal

drainage patterns.

SOUND: Not the rush of water, but a deep GROANING as if the

earth itself is in pain. Punctuated by sharp CRACKS as the

seabed splits in perfect straight lines.

Steam rises from the exposed mud, but it moves wrong -

flowing horizontally, forming symbols in the air before

dissipating.

Fish caught in the draining water float motionless in mid-

air, suspended between the departing water and the exposed

ground, their gills working frantically.

SARAH

(gripping Blake's arm)

What's happening?

FEELGOOD

(awed)

They're draining it. Their way.

The water level drops rapidly, revealing the seafloor.

99.

ENDURANCE II lies twisted among the mud and debris.

Near its broken hull, the Moon Creature fossils glow with

ethereal light, protected by the swirling shadow of the

spirt.

DRAINED DELTA
CONTINUOUS

From the mirage, a golden alien craft descends.

It places the capsule containing JUBA onto the exposed sand,

yards away from the group, then hovers expectantly.

AMY

They're waiting for something. I

think I know what.

DRAINED DELTA
CONTINUOUS

The Kutji Spirit swirls faster around the fossils, growing

more solid and menacing.

The craft emits a brilliant flash.

A TRANSPARENT ORB materializes around the Kutji Spirit,

trapping it.

The shadow writhes and pounds against its prison, but cannot

escape.

FEELGOOD

(whispering)

Impressive. They've caged it. That

can only mean one thing. Kutji was

protecting the fossils. Oh shit, we

got it wrong.

The craft now directly faces Matt.

A beam of light particles extracts the device from the

shuttle wreckage, placing it on the sand before him.

MATT

(understanding)

They want it opened. Amy? Time for

the can opener.

Amy kneels beside the device, her hands finding the sequence.

It responds to her touch like a living thing.

Panels slide apart with hydraulic precision, revealing

crystalline matrices that pulse with internal light.

100.

A tiny star emerges from the device.

AMY

The star doesn't ignite - it

condenses from the surrounding air.

Particles of light gather like iron filings drawn to a

magnet, brightening the star, which hovers inches above the

device.

SOUND: Ascending scales of pure tone, each note doubling the

frequency of the last, climbing beyond human hearing into

ultrasonic ranges that make the air itself ring like crystal.

The effect creates localized thermal currents that make the

air dance with visible distortion.

AMY (CONT'D)

It isn't just a machine. It's a

ritual. A kind of test. “No light

may be summoned by those who do not

carry shadow.”

SARAH

Sounds like dodgy poetry.

AMY

Yeah. The message said whoever

opened it couldn’t be the one who

built it. It had to be a witness.

Me for now.

FEELGOOD

(nodding slowly)

That’s old truth. Sacred truth.

(turns to the others). The gift and

the guilt — they have to share one

heart. The power only answers to

those who understand both. The

aliens brought the fire, but only

we could strike the match.

FEELGOOD (CONT'D)

(looking at Amy)

That’s why it's ok for you to

activate but not to be the one who

has to go. I got a feeling you're

missing something in your

translation. Expect Juba any

minute. And keep an eye on the

moon.

101.

ALIEN CAPSULE
CONTINUOUS

The capsule containing JUBA begins to HISS open. The boy lies

still, eyes closed, but breathing.

The star from the device grows brighter, casting dancing

shadows across the exposed delta floor.

DRAINED DELTA
CONTINUOUS

The begin to levitate, drawn by an invisible force toward the

open capsule.

FLEABAG

(suddenly stepping

forward)

Wait!

He runs toward the capsule, dropping to his knees beside the

unconscious Juba.

FLEABAG (CONT'D)

(shouting)

Take me instead! I'm the bloodline!

I'm the one who caused this!

Feelgood watches, his expression unreadable.

FEELGOOD

(Under his breath)

Not sure there's redemption for you

yet, nephew.

Juba's eyes flutter open. He sees Fleabag kneeling beside

him.

JUBA

(weakly)

Fleabag?

FLEABAG

(gentle)

Yeah, boy. Time for me to do

something right.

Juba slowly climbs out of the capsule. Fleabag helps him

stand, then takes his place inside.

FLEABAG (CONT'D)

(to the group)

Tell them... tell them I tried to

make it right at the end.

102.

The three fossils float into the capsule, settling around

Fleabag.

The star reaches its optimum intensity — a miniature sun

pulsing with creative energy.

The star suddenly collapses, becoming a point of light that

streaks toward the capsule.

It merges with the fossils in a flash of brilliant radiance.

The capsule HISSES shut. Fleabag's face, peaceful now,

disappears from view.

The sealed capsule rises into the air, absorbed into the

golden craft.

The group watches expectantly as the sealed capsule — now

integrated into its hull — pulses rhythmically.

Silence.

Long, tense moments pass.

DANNY

Thought they'd be gone by now. Why

aren't they leaving?

The craft's golden surface begins to darken, shifting to a

more ominous metallic sheen.

The harmonious hum becomes mechanical, grinding.

AMY

Something's wrong.

A harsh, wet expulsive sound — like a giant throat clearing —

bursts from the craft.

JUBA

No—

Something is FLUNG from the underside of the vessel.

It lands with a grotesque THUD in the sand — a twisted,

broken body — Fleabag, spat from the craft like poison.

His limbs are tangled, his torso torn open, his face a

mangled ruin.

DANNY

(retching)

Streuth...

103.

FEELGOOD

(staring at what's left of

Fleabag)

They rejected him.

SARAH

(shaken)

They bloody murdered him!

AMY

It wasn't malicious. Their

technology detected the corruption

and... purged it. Like our bodies

reject disease.

MATT

That's their idea of cleansing?

AMY

For them, violence breeds violence.

Probably couldn't risk taking that

contamination back to their realm.

DANNY

Then what do they want?

AMY

(realization dawning)

Feelgood was right. Cleansing

Protocol is something else. It's

about the moon.

Everyone looks at Juba.

He stands still.

Quiet.

Resolute.

JUBA

(softly)

So, it has to be me? What if it

spits me out like that?

FEELGOOD

(stepping in front of him)

Not you. I'm not taking the risk.

MATT

You said yourself he's of the line.

That’s why they’d take him.

104.

FEELGOOD

Exactly. And that’s why they won’t.

He turns toward the craft, stands straight.

FEELGOOD (CONT'D)

(looking at each face in

turn)

I'm the elder. The line flows

stronger in me than in that boy.

Whatever they want will be with me.

BLAKE

Feelgood, you don't have to do

this. We're not actors in

Spartacus. There must be another

way.

FEELGOOD

(gentle smile)

Sixty years I've been telling

stories about heroes who make the

hard choice. Time to stop talking

and start doing.

JUBA

(desperate)

Uncle, I should—

FEELGOOD

(firm but loving)

You should live, nephew. Live and

remember. That's the harder job.

The hum softens.

The craft’s glow returns to gold.

Without any warning, Feelgood is hoisted from the ground.

He groans as he's lifted, then gets absorbed into the gold.

The craft tilts, pulses once — then vanishes into the stars

without any sound.

The group stands in silence, staring at the empty space

above.

BLAKE

Feelgood, you don't have to do

this. We're not actors in

Spartacus. There must be another

way.

FEELGOOD

(gentle smile)

stories about heroes who make the

hard choice. Time to stop talking

and start doing.

(desperate)

FEELGOOD

(firm but loving)

The group stands in silence, staring at the empty space

above.
